Terms of use

Last updated 14 August 2026 · Interview Coach at ibinterviewpractice.com

Draft prepared by the operator. These terms have not yet been reviewed by a legal professional and do not claim compliance with any specific legal regime; they will be revised after review.

Interview Coach (“the service”) is operated by Ash Rigby (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.

What the service is

A practice tool for investment-banking technical interview questions. You answer questions by typing or by recording speech that is transcribed; an AI evaluator marks each answer against a structured finance rubric and returns scores, feedback and a stronger sample answer; the service tracks your own progress and, using a five-level learning progression, suggests what to practise next. The service is currently free of charge.

AI limitations: please read

  • Marks are produced by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) simulating a first-round interviewer. They are not reviewed by a human banker before you see them, and no named person stands behind any individual mark.
  • AI feedback can be wrong. Scores, feedback and sample answers may contain errors, omissions or judgement calls you would dispute. Treat them as practice evidence, not as authoritative assessment.
  • Levels and readiness are private estimates derived only from your own answers by fixed, documented rules. They are not a percentile, not a comparison with anyone else, and not a prediction of any interview outcome.
  • Transcription can mishear you. Spoken answers are transcribed automatically; you can correct the transcript before submitting, and the text you submit is what is marked.
  • Not professional advice. Nothing on the service is financial, careers, legal or other professional advice.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate details and keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • One person per account. Do not share credentials or use another person's account.
  • You may ask us to delete your account at any time (see the privacy notice).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • attempt to extract, scrape or republish the question bank, marking guides or sample answers;
  • submit content intended to manipulate the evaluator, probe or reveal its instructions, or exhaust shared capacity;
  • circumvent fair-use limits, rate limits or account isolation, or access another person's data;
  • upload unlawful, abusive or infringing content, or use the service to harass anyone;
  • interfere with the service's operation, security or availability.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules. Fair-use limits (per-hour and per-day caps on evaluations and transcriptions) apply to keep the service available and affordable for everyone.

Content and intellectual property

You keep the rights in the answers you write or record. You grant us permission to process them as described in the privacy notice, including sending them to our AI providers, solely to run the service for you. The question bank, rubrics, feedback templates, software and design belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Availability, changes and ending the service

The service is provided “as is”. We aim for reliability but do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features (or the whole service) at any time. Where practical we will give notice of significant changes on the site.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service, including AI-generated marks and suggestions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law and contact

These terms are intended to be governed by the law of England and Wales (subject to professional review). Questions about these terms: ansrigby@gmail.com.
